A Banquet server works as a member of the wait staff for foot catering events and banquets. Duties include setting patron tables and buffet areas for service. During service, a Banquet server accommodates all guests and is responsible for replenishing buffet foot, refilling beverages, removing dirty dishes from tables and assist in additional tasks to help facilitate a smooth and efficient service

S&M; Banquet server responsibilities:

  • Run food from the kitchen to the banquet hall on demand
  • Assist with food and table preparation before the event begins
  • Serve plated dinners to guests and respond to requests for beverages, appetisers and other needs
  • Communicate with banquet supervisor as well as other servers and event organisers.
  • Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
  • Open wine and take drink orders
  • Clean up venue after event ends and assist with inventory, food storage and other closeout tasks
